Diveagar is a quiet Konkan coastal village known for its clean, long beach and a cluster of historic temples, ideal for a short, peaceful escape from Mumbai/Pune.

Beach highlights

- Diveagar Beach is about 4–6 km long with soft white–golden sand, gentle waves and a relatively uncrowded, serene atmosphere.

- The area around the beach has coconut and betel nut plantations, migratory birds, and small fishing hamlets, giving it a very typical Konkan village feel.

- Basic water activities and long sunset streches are popular; it is mainly a relaxation beach rather than a loud, commercial one.

Treasures of Temples

Some temples are not for chase of devotion, but where god itself awaits for his devotee who finds peace in inner soul.

- Shri Roopnarayan / Sundar Narayan Temple: Ancient Vishnu temple with a unique black stone idol showing all ten avatars (Dashavatar) in a single sculpture; set in a quiet, coconut-lined courtyard.

- Shree Suvarna Ganesh Temple: Famous Ganesha temple associated with the discovery of a golden idol/mask of Lord Ganesha, a key pilgrimage spot close to the beach.

- Shree Uttareshwar Temple: Old Shiva temple at the northern side of the beach, adding to the small temple circuit you can cover on foot or by a short drive.

Aravi Beach (Must visit bite)

The beach neighbour to coast of Diveagar is usually sparsely crowded compared to diveagar and Shrivardhan, so it suits someone looking for solitude,nature, and exploratory drives along the coastal road.    

Short itinerary (1–2 days)

-Location: Diveagar, Raigad for weekend escape.

-Distance: Roughly 160–190 km from Pune/Mumbai.

-Best season: October to February for pleasant weather.

-Must try : Homely authentic Sea Food.
